CSV vs TSV — Which to Download?

CSV (Comma-Separated Values) — Best for most uses. Works with Google Sheets, Excel, and data tools. The file uses UTF-8 with BOM for proper encoding of international characters.

TSV (Tab-Separated Values) — Excel-safe version. Some video titles contain commas, which can break CSV parsing in older Excel versions. The TSV format uses tabs as separators, making it 100% safe for Excel imports.
